About the Program
Parks and Rec in partnership with Rochester Flyers and the Rochester Area Autism Association is offering a new program this winter called Young Athletes. Young Athletes is an inclusive early childhood play program for children ages 2–7, with and without intellectual disabilities. Through fun, active games that teach basic sports skills like running, kicking, and throwing, children build motor, social, and learning skills while developing healthy habits for life. Families, teachers, and community members can all join in to promote teamwork, confidence, and inclusion. Young Athletes helps every child grow, play, and belong.
